Senda Verde

Senda Verde is an organization that aims to save and shelter innocent wild animals rescued from illegal traffic cruelty and suffering, and inspire people to appreciate and take care of nature. This organization saves hundreds of animal lives yearly. Based in Bolivia, next to the jungle, this organization showed me love in a way I had never seen it. It was almost palpable. The love between the animals and more surprising than that, the love between the humans and the animals. It was almost as if the animals had let their guard  down and didn't activate their flight or fight mode anytime a human approached. somehow the humans actually gained their trust. I saw healing, real healing, and saw animals that were once terrified  and at the brink of death, come back to life perfectly healthy. It was in these moments where I realized that our duty as members of not only society but of the earth it was our responsibility to help and heal the animals that were harmed by our own species. I saw first hand the damage caused by humans taking advantage  of animals for vain and shallow reasons such as jewelry  and fashion. The things and lengths that humans will go to for money is embarrassing. But this NGO, this family of members of the earth takes responsibility  and is making a difference. And you can too, any donation helps.
